"Remembrance"

Scrapbooking

and

Card Crafting

Philipians 1:3-5

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all, making request with joy,  for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.

Preserving the Past for the Future, One Page at a Time

The "Remembrance" Scrapbooking/Card Crafting Ministry offers free monthly scrapbooking crops for area scrappers and card makers.

The  crops are sponsored by First Baptist Church of Wentzville, Missouri, 653 North Business Hwy 61.

See "HOW TO FIND US" on this page or link to map.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ALL ARE WELCOME

Avid Scrapbook artists and beginners alike attend the work sessions.  These crops are also attended by ladies who like to make their own special occasion cards. Those who come are a mix of church members and people from the community.  No one need ever feel out of place.

---------------------------

While working on their scrapbooks and cards, people enjoy visiting with friends and making new ones.  Attendees exchange ideas and learn new techniques.

Beginners take pride in displaying their very first completed pages, and accomplished book artists enjoy showing their completed albums at "Scrap 'n Tell."

Assistance is available for beginning memory makers including: guidance in creating basic layouts, photo cropping and mounting. Scrapbookers and Card Crafters are welcome to use various tools that are available such as the Cricut machine, Sidekick, Sizzix Personal Die Cutter and the Zip 'EMate Die Cutter along with a variety of shape dies and alphabet dies.

Various events during the past  6 years have included overnight crops, contests, and demonstrations-always, a great time.

"Remembrance" sponsored "Silent Witness Week" by providing 300 buttons for church members to wear April 1-8, 2007.

Please always keep in prayer for our country, the elections, and our friends and loved ones serving overseas.

Those who stand in defense of our nation need and deserve our prayers continually. Please, let us not let them down, but Remember to pray for those now serving and for those who have returned. Their needs are great, many have suffered physical injuries, and many will be tortured with the memories of what they have witnessed and endured. Pray for the families of men and women who sacrificed their lives. Let's fill heaven with our prayers.

.....Remember.....

"Remembrance" is in its SIXTH Year --WOW!

A Book of Remembrance
Malachi 3:16
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name.

Remember This
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

GUIDELINES REGARDING BRINGING CHILDREN TO
CROP SESSIONS
Those who come to the crops are grateful to have a block of time and a space to work on their albums without interruptions from their families.  So that all scrapbookers can get the most out of the evening, we wish to remind everyone of the ministry guidelines  regarding people bringing children to crop sessions.

The scrapbooking crops are for adult and teenage scrapbookers. If you must bring a younger child, he/she is your  responsibility,  needs to remain at your table and/or with you at all times. Please do not allow your child to be disruptive. Children  wandering around can disturb those who are trying to get work done. And rough housing is not appropriate in the building under any circumstances.

Your child will not be allowed to use the equipment made available for our croppers at the work tables. The tools provided are not to be used as playthings or busywork for children. These  tools are costly. We  have a small budget. In order to protect the investment and be good stewards of the money allotted for tool purchases, we must ask that you not let your child use them. These tools can be easily damaged.  This policy is also for your child's protection. Some of the tools can cause injury with careless and improper use.

If you need to bring an infant, please take him out of the room should he start crying. Crawlers and toddlers, please be considerate and don't allow that child to be a distraction.

We know you can appreciate our position in this matter, and we thank you for your cooperation.

Please also Remember:
Food and drinks are to be kept in the kitchen or brought directly to and used at your table. Crumbs and spilled drinks can ruin someone's hard work, can damage equipment, and adds time to cleanup.
