Preserving the Past for the Future
One Page at a Time
The "Remembrance" Scrapbooking/Card Crafting Ministry offers free monthly scrapbooking crops for area scrappers and card makers.
The crops are sponsored by
First Baptist Church of Wentzville
653 Luetkenhaus Blvd
Wentzville MO 63385
See "HOW TO FIND US" on this page
Avid Scrapbook artists and beginners alike attend the work sessions. These crops are also attended by ladies who like to make their own special occasion cards. Those who come are a mix of church members and people from the community. No one need ever feel out of place.
While working on their scrapbooks and cards, people enjoy visiting with friends and making new ones. Attendees exchange ideas and learn new techniques.
Beginners take pride in displaying their very first completed pages, and accomplished book artists enjoy showing their completed albums at "Scrap 'n Tell."
Assistance is available for beginning memory makers including: guidance in creating basic layouts, photo cropping and mounting. Scrapbookers and Card Crafters are welcome to use various tools that are available such as the Cricut machine, Sidekick, Sizzix Personal Die Cutter and the Zip 'EMate Die Cutter along with a variety of shape dies and alphabet dies.
Various events during the past 10 years have included overnight crops, contests, and demonstrations-always, a great time.
Please always keep in prayer for our country and our friends and loved ones serving overseas.
Those who stand in defense of our nation need and deserve our prayers continually. Please, let us not let them down, but Remember to pray for those now serving and for those who have returned. Their needs are great, many have suffered physical injuries, and many will be tortured with the memories of what they have witnessed and endured. Pray for the families of men and women who sacrificed their lives. Let's fill heaven with our prayers.
DID YOU KNOW? "Remembrance" has sponsored several projects at First Baptist Church including Silent Witness Week, Pregnancy Loss Night, Operation Christmas Card for the Military, and the Red Envelope Project.

"HOW TO FIND US"
Directions Coming from Schnucks, WalMart etc: Head toward Hwy 61 on Wentzville Parkway. Turn right on Business Hwy 61 (Leutkenhaus Blvd) (right after you see the Lindenwood Ice Arena). Leutkenhaus Blvd is the last street before the overpass and entrance to Highway 61. (From the police station, it is 1.25 miles to Leutkenhaus Blvd.) Go about 1/4 mile on Leutkenhaus Blvd (keep to the left where Wall street cuts in). You will see First Baptist Church on the right.
Directions Coming from HWY 40-61 Traveling North: Exit at Wentzville Parkway. Cross over 61 and turn at the first street going to the left. Stay to the left at the 'Y' and the church will be on the right just past a small storage rental business.
Enter the parking lot and go to the left side of the building (Parr Street side) to a smaller parking area. There should be cars already parked there. Come in the side door and head left to the Fellowship Hall. You will easily find us.
A Book of Remembrance
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
GUIDELINES REGARDING BRINGING CHILDREN TO
Those who come to the crops are grateful to have a block of time and a space to work on their albums without interruptions from their families. So that all scrapbookers can get the most out of the evening, we wish to remind everyone of the ministry guidelines regarding people bringing children to crop sessions.
The scrapbooking crops are for adult and teenage scrapbookers. If you must bring a younger child, he/she is your responsibility, needs to remain at your table and/or with you at all times. Please do not allow your child to be disruptive. Children wandering around can disturb those who are trying to get work done. And rough housing is not appropriate in the building under any circumstances. If you need to bring an infant, please take him out of the room should
he continually cry. Crawlers and toddlers, please be considerate and
don't allow that child to be a distraction.
Your child will not be allowed to use the equipment made available for our croppers at the work tables. The tools provided are not to be used as playthings or busywork for children. These tools are costly. We have a small budget. In order to protect the investment and be good stewards of the money allotted for tool purchases, we must ask that you not let your child use them. These tools can be easily damaged. This policy is also for your child's protection. Some of the tools can cause injury with careless and improper use.
We know you can appreciate our position in this matter, and we thank you for your cooperation.
Please also Remember:
Food and drinks are to be kept in the kitchen or brought directly to and used at your table. Crumbs and spilled drinks can ruin someone's hard work, can damage equipment, and adds time to cleanup.
